Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Pipefitter to join our team for a commercial supermarket refrigeration and HVAC project. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience installing, modifying, and repairing refrigeration piping systems and HVAC piping in active commercial environments. This is a project-based position expected to last 3–4 months, with the possibility of becoming a full-time permanent position based on performance and future workload.

Responsibilities

• Install refrigeration piping systems for supermarket refrigeration equipment, including rack systems, cases, and walk-in coolers/freezers.
• Install HVAC piping and associated mechanical systems.
• Measure, cut, fit, braze, solder, thread, and assemble copper, steel, and other piping materials.
• Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and piping schematics.
• Pressure test piping systems and assist with evacuation and system preparation.
• Work closely with refrigeration technicians, HVAC mechanics, and project supervisors.
• Ensure all work complies with local codes, project specifications, and safety standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, lifts, and other jobsite equipment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of commercial refrigeration pipefitting experience required.
• Experience with supermarket refrigeration systems is strongly preferred.
• Proficient in brazing, soldering, and pipe installation techniques.
• Ability to read blueprints and mechanical drawings.
• Knowledge of refrigeration and HVAC piping practices.
• OSHA safety awareness; OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on ladders, lifts, and in mechanical rooms.
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
• Must have your own basic hand tools.
