Summary of responsibilities
The service advisor is responsible for working with a select group of the firm’s clients, including answering incoming requests, preparing for and conducting client review meetings, and researching new products to meet client goals. This position works closely with other staff members to ensure that client requests are answered in the appropriate time frame.
Principal responsibilities
- Provide service to current clients; additional clients may be identified in future.
- Prepare and update all Financial plans for clients.
- Field calls and conduct review meetings when necessary for clients.
- Delegate follow-up client work to other members of the firm.
- Research new products and services that will enhance client relationships or fulfill clients’ short- and long-term financial needs.
- Identify and clarify client needs.
- Meet with clients to go through paperwork; ensure that all required forms are completed accurately.
- Generate reports, such as position statements, for meetings with clients.
- Draft letters as necessary.
- Place trades through trading platform.
- Assist with workflow needs in office
Required knowledge/skills/competencies
- BA or BS preferred
- Minimum of one year of experience in the investment/insurance industry.
- Knowledge of investment/insurance industry operations and terminology
- FINRA Series 6 or 7 registration, along with 63 and 65, if not willing to obtain them.
- Proficiency with computer programs, including the Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel), CRM, WealthscapeSM, and Morningstar®
- Must be excellent learning new technology.

- Proofread and quality check own work in accordance with firm criteria
- Identify and solve problems in a timely, efficient, and effective manner
- Use resources available to answer questions and resolve problems.
- Use multiple technology platforms (e.g., CRM system, emoney)
- Prioritize workload and meet deadlines
- Work independently
