Facilities Maintenance Worker
Under the supervision of the facilities maintenance supervisor, the facilities maintenance worker shall be responsible to:

Required Education and Experience:
Knowledge and Abilities: Ability to effectively speak, read and understand oral and written instructions in the English language. Ability to work a flexible schedule. Knowledge of established skilled maintenance and preventative maintenance standards and procedures. Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Knowledge of electronic work order systems or ability to quickly learn programs. Above average mechanical aptitude. Knowledge of door and lock maintenance. Ability to work in environment using various painting equipment and related tools (e.g., sprayers, rollers, brushes, thinners, etc.). Ability to solve routine maintenance problems with little direct supervision. Ability to work effectively and in cooperation with all staff levels. Ability to effectively prioritize daily assignments and effectively perform routine tasks with little direct supervision.
Physical Abilities: Ability to see at normal distance and hear normal conversations and sounds. Physical ability to regularly and safely lift, carry, or otherwise move objects weighing up to 40 lbs. and occasionally over the 40 lbs. with the assistance of equipment or another individual. Ability to effectively and safely use standard maintenance and power tools. Ability to regularly and safely drive a company vehicle in the course of work.
License or Other Requirements: Must possess a valid California driver’s license and acceptable driving record that meets the agency’s insurance underwriting guidelines. Submit to a job-pertinent, agency-paid pre-employment physical examination, negative tuberculosis test, and criminal record background check. Employment is conditional pending satisfactory results of all required tests, criminal background check, and satisfactory driver record. Periodic physical examinations and TB clearances will be required if hired.
