Job Summary
We are seeking skilled Cable Harness and Electromechanical Assemblers to build, wire, test, inspect, and document high-quality electronic and mechanical assemblies. This role involves cable and harness assembly, rack and subassembly integration, soldering, crimping, wiring, mechanical assembly, and quality verification in accordance with IPC Class 3 standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Build cable harnesses from wiring diagrams, schematics, drawings, form boards, BOMs, and written work instructions.
• Perform soldering, wire stripping, crimping, connector insertion, contact plugging, cable routing, dressing, and backshell torqueing.
• Assemble and wire power-distribution load boxes, control and communication panels, joysticks, modules, boards, racks, frames, and related subassemblies.
• Install LEDs, push buttons, switches, handles, connectors, fasteners, power-distribution boards, SSR modules, cooling fans, optical modules, and chassis components.
• Complete mechanical assembly using threaded fasteners, rivets, adhesives, and torque-controlled tightening.
• Use hand tools, power tools, jigs, saws, torque tools, and test equipment safely and correctly.
• Perform continuity checks, functional tests, workmanship inspections, and quality checks on in-process and completed assemblies.
• Rework, modify, disassemble, reassemble, and test prototype or experimental assemblies as required.
• Follow cable-routing and EMC guidelines, quality specifications, safety requirements, and production procedures.
• Document assembly, inspection, test results, labor, and work order information in the MRP system.
• Participate in continuous-improvement activities, including 6S, Kaizen, waste reduction, cycle-time improvement, and ergonomic safety improvements.
• Maintain a clean, organized, safe work area and work effectively within a team environment.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• One to four years of hands-on manufacturing, cable harness, electromechanical, mechanical, or electrical assembly experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, drawings, BOMs, and work instructions.
• Experience with soldering, crimping, wire routing, connector installation, torque tools, hand tools, and power tools.
• Knowledge of IPC/WHMA-A-620 Class 3 workmanship standards.
• J-STD-001 certification or equivalent soldering experience.
• Ability to perform quality inspections, continuity checks, and defect recognition.
• Strong attention to detail, reliable attendance, teamwork, communication, and safety awareness.

Preferred Qualifications

• Current WHMA-A-620 certification and demonstrated Class 3 workmanship.
• IPC/WHMA-A-620E-S Space Addendum experience.
• IPC-620 defect-recognition experience.
• Experience in aerospace, defense, high-end optics, industrial, or automotive manufacturing.
• IPC-A-610, OSHA 10, or associate degree.
• Experience with MRP systems and continuous-improvement methods.
