About the RoleWe are an established electronics contract manufacturer looking for a detail-oriented Assembler to join our production team. In this role, you will assemble printed circuit boards (PCBs), cables, wire harnesses, and electromechanical products according to engineering drawings, work instructions, and IPC quality standards.
This is hands-on production work in a supportive team environment where quality and consistency matter. No prior experience is required—we will train the right person!
Key ResponsibilitiesPCB Assembly: Assemble printed circuit boards using through-hole and surface-mount (SMT) techniques, including hand soldering and touch-up.
Cable & Harness Building: Build cable and wire harness assemblies—cutting, stripping, crimping, terminating, and routing wire per drawings.
Electromechanical Assembly: Build enclosures, chassis, and control panels, including mounting hardware and components.
Blueprint & Traveler Reading: Read and follow engineering drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), schematics, and written work instructions.
Quality Inspection: Inspect your own work and finished assemblies to IPC-A-610 and IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards.
Tool Operation: Safely and correctly use hand tools, soldering irons, crimpers, and basic shop equipment.
Documentation & Maintenance: Accurately record production data on job travelers, maintain a clean/safe work area, and follow Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) practices.
Team Collaboration: Support prototype through full production runs, adapt to changing priorities, and promptly communicate quality or supply issues to supervisors.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to read and follow assembly drawings, BOMs, and written instructions.
Good manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and close-up visual acuity.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to sit or stand at a workstation for extended periods.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work well within a team.
ITAR Compliance: Due to the nature of our work, candidates must be a "U.S. Person" (U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident) as defined under ITAR.
Prior experience in electronic, PCB, cable/harness, or electromechanical assembly.
Hand-soldering experience or current/prior IPC-A-610 / IPC/WHMA-A-620 certifications.
Familiarity with ESD-safe handling and shop safety practices.
Experience in a contract manufacturing environment.
Extended periods of close, detailed hand work under magnification and task lighting.
Repetitive hand and finger motions.
Occasional lifting of parts, materials, or assemblies (typically up to 25–35 lbs).
