The Legal Assistant Litigation role supports attorneys by preparing and organizing legal documents, managing case files, and coordinating court filings related to litigation matters. This position demands strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively within legal teams to facilitate efficient case management.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and proofread legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence for litigation cases
- Manage and organize case files, exhibits, and evidence
- Coordinate scheduling of depositions, court dates, and meetings
- Assist attorneys with trial preparation and document management
- Communicate with clients, court personnel, and opposing counsel as directed
- Maintain litigation calendars and deadlines to ensure timely filings
- File legal documents electronically and in-person with courts
- Conduct basic legal research and case status tracking
