· Perform equipment repairs promptly and use BIS to record planned or requested maintenance work orders.
· Ability to communicate effectively with staff, contractors, and supervisors.
· May work with contractors, vendors, and other staff to coordinate maintenance activities and projects as required.
· Ability to maintain accurate records of maintenance work, including measurement and adding information into BIS.
· For preventative maintenance, regularly inspect and maintain equipment, systems, and facilities to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
· Diagnose and repair issues with various systems, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical equipment.
· Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures, report any hazards or concerns, and use existing LOTO procedures.
· Maintain accurate records of maintenance work performed, supply inventory, and inspections inside the BIS ERP system.
· Work with maintenance to identify and diagnose machine-related issues, and engineering or tool vendors to identify mold or fixture-related issues
· Provide recommendations for improvement to manufacturing or process engineers to increase product yields and drive efficiency.
· Implement software changes and upgrades to improve system performance.
· Swapping out molds in autoclaves, presses, thermoforming cells, or polyurethane chaises.
· Operation requests and troubleshooting when equipment issues arise, for example, faults in production equipment due to incorrect loading of programs into the waterjets.
· Additional tasks may be assigned as needed, depending on the specific requirements of the facility or company.

Limits of Authority:
· Completion of BIS maintenance work orders requested or planned.
· Recommend updates to work instructions
· Updates to existing waterjet programs
· Requisition of MRO (maintenance, repair, or operations) items such as machinery spare parts, cleaning supplies, lubricants, tools for maintenance and repair, and specific PPE (personal protective equipment) required to perform tasks as assigned.
· Updates to molding settings, time, temperature, and pressure per direction from maintenance & engineering, or R&D.
· Process shutdown for safety/machine deficiencies.
· Shutdown or start-up of equipment at start or end of shifts as assigned.
Qualifications/Experience Required:
· Ability to work on own initiative with minimal supervision, dedicated and reliable, and has a sense of urgency
· Good interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
· An Associate of Science Degree in Electrical Controls Technology, Electro-Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related discipline, or a related degree with 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing setting, or
· Certification or technology degree or related degree with 6 years’ experience in a manufacturing setting in a setup or technician role with industrial controls experience
· Experience working in rubber, plastics, paper mill, concrete, or food industry would be a plus.
· An individual with waterjet and thermo-molding experience would be preferred
Skills:
· Working aptitude using MS Excel and data collection software
· Experience with Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Valves, Electronics
· Knowledge of drives (AB and Rockwell preferred), servo axis controls, HMI design, hardware management/commissioning.
· Experience interfacing with PLCs and HMIs (programming experience is an asset).
· Familiar with electrics/mechanics in drive technology (motors/gears)
· A genuine interest in automation and technology, with the aptitude to learn new concepts and procedures.
