Employment Type:Full-Time | Temp-to-Perm
Pay Rate:$19.00 per hour
Schedule:Monday–Friday | 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Job OverviewWe are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Packaging Assistant to join a growing manufacturing team in Red Hook, NY. This hands-on role supports the production and packaging of high-quality skincare products made with food-grade ingredients in a workshop environment.
The ideal candidate enjoys working with their hands, thrives in a fast-paced setting, and takes pride in producing quality products. While prior packaging experience is preferred, we are willing to train motivated individuals with a strong work ethic.
Packaging Assistant Responsibilities:- Package finished products for shipment and distribution
- Assist with production line setup and daily manufacturing operations
- Inspect materials and finished products to ensure quality standards are met
- Pick, pack, label, and prepare outgoing orders
- Box, palletize, and organize products for shipping
- Maintain accurate production, inventory, and packaging records
- Receive and organize incoming shipments
- Assist with inventory counts and stock organization
- Clean and maintain workstations, equipment, and production areas
- Follow all safety, quality, and sanitation procedures
Qualifications & Skills:- Previous packaging, production, warehouse, manufacturing, kitchen, bakery, or food production experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, adaptable, and willing to learn new tasks
- Experience operating production equipment or forklifts is a plus
Physical Requirements:- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds regularly
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Frequent bending, reaching, squatting, pushing, and pulling
- Comfortable working in a hands-on manufacturing environment
