Teach a robust, inclusive, and culturally responsive literature curriculum; Conduct deep exploration of daily content to guide students in analyzing texts and developing intellectual identity; Develop students’ independent and collaborative reading, writing, and discussion skills; Facilitate student-led discourse, teaching students to use evidence to make sophisticated claims; Analyze student comprehension and writing regularly to adapt lessons; Partner with department and grade level team on content and instructional strategies; Meet weekly with principal/coach to analyze and respond to trends in student work and assessments; Learn and implement strategies to differentiate instruction; Build positive relationships with students; Partner with students’ families; Engage in practice-based professional development, mentorship, and coaching; Participate in weekly, school-wide meetings; Partner with grade level team to develop academic goals and practice instructional strategies.
