Join Stanford Health Care's dynamic Cancer Center project as a Facilities Architect - MEP and help deliver innovative spaces that redefine cancer care. You'll oversee the programming, planning, design, construction and activation of facilities that support comprehensive, patient-centered services from symptom management to wellness and spiritual care. Key Responsibilities:
+ Manage day-to-day programming, planning, design, and construction activities for hospital and clinic projects.
+ Act as liaison between clients, consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies, ensuring clear communication and project alignment.
+ Implement quality control measures, maintain project schedules and budgets, and ensure compliance with hospital and government standards.
+ Lead consultant teams for MEP systems, Low Voltage and other hospital related building systems, resolve project issues proactively, and close projects efficiently after occupancy.
+ Prepare organized, accurate documentation and contribute to department policy development.
+ Provides leadership, and supervision to assigned consultants including but not limited to MEP, building controls, fire alarm, fire protection and low voltage

**A Brief Overview**
Coordinates and ensures alignment with SHC standards by integrating building systems, code compliance, and consultant deliverables throughout the design phases of healthcare facilities projects. Demonstrates capabilities as a technical architect in both large and small-scale projects. This role functions as a technical subject matter expert within Facilities Planning & Design, independently resolving complex architectural and regulatory challenges and improving planning, design, and documentation processes that support high quality, safe, and efficient facilities.

**What you will do**
+ Provide technical architectural leadership on large and small healthcare projects, performing QA/QC reviews of drawings and technical details to ensure consulting architects uphold SHC's building information modeling (BIM) and documentation standards.
+ Represent SHC in coordination with consultant architects, ensuring user group goals and operational requirements are integrated into building design and, in collaboration with Facilities Construction, carried through to the end of construction. Perform architectural and regulatory code research (e.g., California Building Code (CBC), accessibility, HCAI/OSHPD) and support submission requirements to Authorities Having Jurisdiction and other regulatory agencies.
+ Coordinate with SHC Facilities Services specialty teams (e.g., Land Use, Planning, Construction, Engineering, Facilities Management, Interior Design, Signage/Wayfinding, Medical Equipment, Sustainability, Activations) to ensure integrated and compliant project solutions.
+ Support the Facilities Construction team through bidding and construction administration, including submittal reviews, shop drawings, requests for information (RFIs), document interpretation, and site walks, helping to maintain design intent and quality.
+ Manage schedules and design‑phase deliverables; align with Facilities Construction on project budgets, assumptions, and cons
