We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Sr. Financial Analyst in the Healthcare, Hospitals, and Social Assistance industry. Based in Los Angeles, California, this role will involve a range of responsibilities, including financial analysis, decision support, and budgeting tasks.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in the development of analyses and reports to support hospital and corporate initiatives, including financial evaluation of strategic initiatives.
• Responsible for loading data extracts into cost accounting, decision support, and budget software, including reconciliation to source system, error correction, and general review of data for accuracy.
• Work closely with department managers and administration in the development of the annual operating budget.
• Maintain and enhance the functionality of budgeting, cost accounting, and decision support systems.
• Display proficiency at an advanced level in Excel, PowerPoint, and database query engines as needed.
• Participate in and provide assistance to various committees of the Medical Center and Finance.
• Understand and explain variances and trends in expected net revenues and costs.
• Assist in obtaining maximum functionality from existing budget, cost accounting, and decision support systems.
• Responsible for maintaining security of information, including patient records, salary, staff, and legal information in a confidential nature.
• Work with numerous financial systems, including but not limited to various accounting and budgeting software.
• Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Financial Analyst, preferably in the Healthcare, Hospitals, or Social Assistance industry
• Must possess strong knowledge and experience in Business Systems and Accounting Functions
• Must possess experience in Auditing, Budget Processes, and Capital Management
• Proficiency in Budgeting and Forecasting is required
• Must have a strong understanding and experience in Cost Analyses
• Should have a strong ability to perform Variance Analysis
• Proficiency in Financial Analysis is a must
• Must possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• Should have strong communication and presentation skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced Excel skills, is required
• Must have strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.
