We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for an Accountant in our manufacturing industry located in Pomona, California. The successful candidate will be responsible for various tasks including software conversion, purchase orders, inventory cycle counts, and data clean up. This role also involves contributing to the improvement of processes and flexibility in adapting to dynamic work conditions.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the conversion of software from the current system to SAP.
• Manage and process accounts payable purchase orders.
• Perform regular cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory records.
• Conduct thorough data clean up to ensure the integrity and accuracy of records.
• Coordinate with the accounting clerk on accounts receivable duties.
• Handle invoice approval processes, which are automated and involve printing out paper and scanning with accounts payable.
• Engage in full-cycle accounts payable tasks, including 3-way matching in the invoicing routing system.
• Handle collections primarily through email correspondence.
• Process and manage 60-80 payments and 250-300+ invoices weekly using SAGE paperless system.
• Prepare and process expense reports.
• Utilize skills in Account Reconciliation, NetSuite, and Data Cleaning for various accounting tasks.• Possession of a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
• Proven expertise in Account Reconciliation.
• Proficiency in using NetSuite software.
• Strong skills in Data Cleaning and maintenance.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is highly desirable.
• Excellent knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Demonstrated ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports.
• High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office Suite applications.
• Ability to work independently, manage large, complex projects, and meet deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
