Job Title: Special Education Teacher

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Special Education Teacher to join our team in Americus, Georgia. The Special Education Teacher will be responsible for providing specialized instruction and support to students with disabilities, ensuring they have access to a high-quality education and opportunities for academic and social growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities, in collaboration with parents and other educators.
• Provide instruction in academic subjects, life skills, and social-emotional development, adapting teaching methods to meet students' diverse needs.
• Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as necessary to ensure academic growth.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to modify curriculum and provide acmodations for students with disabilities in inclusive settings.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress, IEPs, and other documentation.
• municate regularly with parents to update them on student progress and discuss strategies for support.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field.
• Georgia state certification in Special Education.
• Experience working with students with disabilities preferred.
• Strong understanding of special education laws and regulations.
• Excellent munication and interpersonal skills.
