We are actively seeking a skilled and fluent American Sign Language (ASL) Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our dedicated team in Upland, CA, for the 2024-2025 school year. The ideal candidate will be passionate about working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing and have a strong background in ASL to effectively communicate and deliver therapy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech, language, and communication needs, particularly in students who use ASL.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate ASL.
- Provide direct therapy services to students, utilizing ASL as needed.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support students educational and communication goals.
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing to the development of goals and accommodations.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and therapy sessions.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Valid state licensure as an SLP in California.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred.
- Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) is required.
- Experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing is highly desirable.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
