Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in Moosic, PA. This full-time position involves providing speech and language therapy services to students to support their communication, language, and social skills. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with students, families, and school staff to create an effective and supportive therapeutic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' speech and language abilities.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on assessment results and student needs.
- Provide direct therapy services to students with speech and language disorders, both individually and in small groups.
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to integrate therapy goals into the classroom and daily activities.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting therapy plans as necessary to meet evolving needs.
- Participate in the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and provide recommendations for accommodations and modifications.
- Provide training and support to teachers and parents on strategies to support students communication and language development.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of therapy sessions, assessments, and student progress.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders.
- Current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Pennsylvania.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
- Previous experience working with school-aged children is preferred.
- Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic skills.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
