We are seeking a Manager Financial Reporting for a successful and established company located in Washington, District of Columbia. The role involves supporting the financial reporting process, preparing financial statements, and conducting financial analysis. The successful candidate will also work collaboratively with internal and external auditors, as well as other departments across the organization.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting packages for investors
• Compile quarterly and annual financial statements with footnote support, following IFRS and US GAAP guidelines
• Carry out quarterly lender reporting
• Conduct monthly and quarterly financial analytics to highlight drivers of quarterly financial results for presentation to executive management
• Research and draft position papers on key accounting issues to support accounting principles and treatments
• Review periodic journal entries and complex transactions, including those related to significant leasing activity, asset acquisitions, and dispositions
• Assist in documenting accounting and reporting procedures
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with departments across the organization
• Coordinate with the external and internal audit functions to resolve issues
• Handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment
• Ensure all work is thoroughly reviewed before submission
• Possess at least 5 years of experience in some combination of public accounting and/or financial reporting or accounting with financial statement generation
• Proven experience in auditing and balance sheet account management
• Familiarity with budget processes and external financial reports preparation
• Mastery in financial reporting, ideally knowledgeable in both US GAAP and IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards)
• Proficiency in JD Edwards EnterpriseOne software is desirable
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret financial data
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is required
• CPA or CMA certification is preferred.
