We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Billing Clerk in the retail industry, located in Manhattan Beach, California. As a Billing Clerk, you will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities that revolve around the management of customer accounts, processing of credit applications, and maintaining detailed records.
Responsibilities:
• Review and input orders into the in-house computer system on a daily basis, ensuring accuracy in terms of discount, pricing, and terms.
• Respond to inquiries from customers and correspondents locally and overseas.
• Manage orders and handle billing operations.
• Maintain an organized work area and files to contribute to the efficiency and accuracy of work.
• Use your analytical and mathematical skills to resolve customer inquiries.
• Utilize Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access to manage and analyze data.
• Apply your knowledge of basic accounting procedures and billing in daily operations.
• Utilize your understanding of Export Finance and Shipping terminology in managing customer accounts.
• Regularly monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions based on account status.
• Provide customer service as needed.• Minimum of 1 year experience working in a similar role within the retail industry
• Proven track record in managing Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Demonstrated ability in Credit Collections
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent numerical skills
• Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines
• Proficiency in using billing software and other relevant computer applications
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• High school diploma or equivalent is required, higher education in Accounting or related field is preferred
