We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Controller in Weatherford, Texas. This role is critical to the successful financial operations of the organization, ensuring compliance with various regulations, and aiding senior management in achieving positive financial results. The Controller will be instrumental in creating and maintaining scalable processes, safeguarding company resources through internal controls, and producing accurate and timely financial statements.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee daily accounting functions, including accrual accounting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
• Develop and enforce internal controls to maximize the protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflows
• Consistently implement accounting policies, practices, and procedures across all programs, in compliance with GAAP and applicable national and local legal standards
• Produce accurate and timely internal and external financial statements
• Manage annual external audit process and internal activities to support successful financial audits
• Coordinate software applications that support the financial operations of the company
• Communicate regularly with the executive team for cross-departmental problem-solving, process creation and implementation, and monitoring
• Oversee regulatory reporting, including sales tax, payroll tax, state, and federal tax
• Hire, train, and retain a competent accounting staff
• Perform other duties as typically assigned to a Controller role.

• Ideally has 5+ years of experience in a Controller role or similar
• Proficiency in accounting functions is required
• Experience in auditing is necessary
• Must have strong knowledge of budget processes
• Experience with month-end close is required
• Must be skilled in managing the general ledger
• Proficiency in budgeting and forecasting is necessary
• Experience using QuickBooks is a must
• Must have experience in handling sales tax
• A strong understanding of financial regulations and legislation is required
• Excellent communication, leadership, and team management skills are necessary
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is required
• Certification such as CPA or CMA is preferred
• Strong analytical and strategic planning skills are necessary
• Must have excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is required.
