We are offering an opportunity for a Controller in Fort Worth, Texas. As part of our team, you will be in charge of the financial operations of a manufacturing plant. This role includes tasks such as managing manufacturing cost accounting, inventory management, budgeting, and forecasting.
Responsibilities include:
• Managing all financial reporting, cost accounting, revenue management, budgeting, inventory management, and forecasting
• Being an active participant in daily operations meetings to stay informed about operational issues impacting financial performance
• Implementing financial planning and analysis tools to ensure the scalability and agility of the plant's financial operations
• Developing and implementing internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures for activities such as budget administration, cash and credit management, and accounting
• Providing advice and counsel to plant manager and other senior managers on operational and financial matters including capital expenditure requests and cost improvement measures
• Participating in the monthly plant internal business reviews and period close process
• Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal budgetary reporting requirements
• Preparing quarterly forecasts and annual budget for plant operations
• Proficiently utilizing MS Office and financial management software for day-to-day operations
• Maintaining strong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data
• Demonstrating excellent communication and leadership skills
• Utilizing problem-solving skills with a strategic capability for continuous improvement.
• Must hold a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Controller or similar role.
• Proficiency in using larger ERP systems (i.e. SAP, Oracle etc... preferred).
• Demonstrated knowledge in Accounting Functions including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Experience in Auditing, Budget Processes, and Full Cycle Accounting is required.
• Ability to prepare and analyze Financial Statements.
• Experience with Month-end Close Activities is essential.
• Must have a strong ability to handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work under pressure.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• High level of discretion and confidentiality dealing with sensitive information.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
• Professional certification such as CPA is required or parts passed will be required
