We are offering a role for an Accounting Clerk in the construction industry based in Puyallup, Washington. This role involves a variety of responsibilities including customer application processing, maintaining customer records, and resolving customer inquiries. The workplace is onsite and the type of employment is a short-term contract.
Responsibilities:
• Process and scan accounts payable invoices accurately and efficiently
• Provide backup for payroll and accounts receivable
• Perform receptionist duties including answering and transferring calls, and taking messages
• Scan and save copies of weekly dumpster tickets received from truck drivers in the appropriate job folders
• Assist with project start-up tasks such as creating job books, folders, and billing sheets
• Assist in project closeout tasks including scanning and saving job books and updating project list information
• Provide support to Project Managers with office tasks such as scanning, laminating, and data entry
• Assist with the preparation and updating of reseller permits
• Handle one-time catch-up work including scanning and saving old job books and folders
• Utilize Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks for data entry and invoice processing.• Must have proven experience in an Accounting Clerk role or similar within the construction/contractor industry
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks is essential
• Competence in handling billing and invoice processing tasks is required
• Must be able to perform data entry tasks with a high level of accuracy
• Experience in administrative office duties, including filing and scanning is necessary
• Must have experience in receptionist duties, such as handling phone calls and customer inquiries
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are required
• Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential
• Must have the ability to maintain confidential information
• A detail oriented attitude and strong work ethic are required.
