Pay Rate: $18-$25 commensurate with experience

Hours: 35 - 40 Hrs per week, must be able to work at least two Saturdays a month from 8 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Job Description:

• Collaborates with the nurse or physician to determine nursing needs of the patients
• Prepares patients for examination and treatment
• Provides for patient comfort. Monitors physiological status
• Prepares exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments.
• Performs initial screening of patients. Assists with medical treatment of patients.
• Provides emergency first aid measures.
• Performs Basic Life Support (CPR). CPR certification required.
• Assists physicians in preparing for minor surgeries and physicals.
• Assists with scheduling of tests and treatments.
• Screens telephone calls for referral to nurse or physician
• Maintains patient files, records, and other information.
• May call in patient's prescriptions as directed by physician.

Qualifications:

• 2+ Years of experience - Required
• Comfortable with phone calls, greetings, processing, mailing, and cleaning - Required 
• High School diploma - Required 
• MA certification - Required 
• Exceptional phlebotomy skills
• BLS (AHA)
• Bilingual - Spanish/English a plus
