Position: Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)
Location: Bridgehead, CA
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Work Hours: 8:30 AM - 3:15 PM
Start Date: July 29, 2024

Role Overview:

• Caseload: Provide one-on-one care for a student with a history of epilepsy/seizures and who undergoes Vagus Nerve Stimulation (VNS) therapy.
• Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and monitor seizure activity and use VNS therapy equipment.
  • Perform ostomy changes during the school day.
  • Administer gastrostomy tube feedings using a continuous pump.
  • Provide transportation support, including riding with the student on the bus to and from home.

Requirements:

• Licensure: Valid California LVN license.
• Skills: Proficiency in seizure management, VNS therapy, and gastrostomy tube feedings.
• Additional Requirements: Bilingual in Spanish and experience in a school setting is mandatory.
• Transportation: Ability to transport with the student on the bus is required.
