We are inviting applications for the role of Controller in our non-profit organization based in CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa, United States. Take on responsibilities that are been outsourced to a part time fractional CFO, elevate the functions being done by a Staff Accountant and provide the internal senior leadership team immediate information. Partner with the Executive Director and be a member of the senior leadership team, have a seat at the table. Monthly responsibilities include all things accounting (AP, AR,PR, JE), budgeting, forecasting, month end, year-end, audit and tax (liaison). Provide grant funding management and reporting. Be a critical part of an organization and feel like you are giving back to the community. • Must have a minimum of 3 years experience in a accounting role within the Non-Profit industry

• Proficient in oversite of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) but ability to fill in

• Experience in Auditing and Budget Processes is necessary

• Knowledge and experience in overseeing Payroll but ability to fill in

• Must be skilled in Reconciliations and Journal Entries

• Experience in Month End Close is crucial

• Ability to prepare and analyze Financial Statements

• Proficient in Budgeting and Forecasting

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred

• Strong analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software

• Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to multitask

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Must adhere to highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism
