Position: Sign Language Interpreter (SLI)
Location: Naples, FL

End Date: May 30, 2025
Hours: Full-Time, 35 hours per week

Job Summary:
Are you an experienced Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) looking for a meaningful role in Naples, FL? We have a full-time opening for a dedicated SLI to provide on-site interpretation services across elementary, middle, and high school settings. Youll make a significant impact by facilitating effective communication for deaf or hard-of-hearing students.

Requirements:

• Certification: Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) score of 3.0 or higher (candidates will need to submit their score results as part of the screening process).
• Proficiency: Strong skills in American Sign Language (ASL) and English.
• Experience: Previous experience in educational settings is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities:

• Provide ASL interpretation in classrooms and other educational settings.
• Assist students in understanding and participating in classroom activities.
• Collaborate with educators to implement and follow Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional ethics.

Caseload Details:

• Students: 1-2 students per caseload.
• School Sites: Elementary, Middle, or High School (you can choose your preferred setting).

Additional Information:

• Hours per Week: Varies based on location, with an average of 35 hours per week.
• Position Type: On-site only (No virtual positions available).
