We are a boutique financial services firm focused on retirement planning, and we’re looking for a CPA with a strong emphasis on financial planning and outstanding customer service skills to join our financial planning team. In this role, you will collaborate with our clients and participate in meetings as part of a team-oriented approach.

Responsibilities:

• Work with financial planner to develop future tax-saving strategies for clients
• Assess and research difficult tax issues to identify solutions
• Manage and maintain the company’s tax database
• Determine tax savings and recommend strategies to improve earnings
• Comply with regulations by working with federal, state, and local authorities
• Offer support and guidance during audits
• Keep knowledgeable of tax regulations and make suggestions that diminish tax burden
• Prepare accurate tax reports
• Note: we do not prepare tax returns, we integrate tax planning into our comprehensive financial planning services

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a relevant field
• CPA designation required
• A minimum of 2 years of previous accountant experience
• Experience with CS Planner is a plus
• Experience with QuickBooks is a plus
• In-depth knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping processes
• Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical skills
• Able to work well with clients; excellent written and verbal communication skills
