What to expect:

We're seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team!  In the role of Medical Assistant at a Metabolic Insulin Facility, you will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic. Your responsibilities will include both administrative and clinical tasks aimed at managing patients with metabolic disorders, particularly those requiring insulin therapy.

Salary: $20+ / hour depending on experience

Responsibilities:

• Administer precise intravenous doses of FDA-approved fast-acting insulin using portable pumps
• Monitor patient vital signs and response to treatment, adjusting dosage and protocols as needed
• Educate patients on infusion treatment procedures, benefits, and potential side effects
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to develop and implement personalized treatment plans
• Maintain accurate patient records and document treatment sessions thoroughly
• Ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines and safety protocols

You will bring these qualifications:

• Education: High School diploma or GED
• 2-3 years medical assistant experience required
• Certification or diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Strong understanding of diabetes management and insulin therapy
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
