Position Title: Buyer
Salary: Up to $55K annually 
Location: 77060
Hours: 8am -5pm 

Our client is seeking a self-motivated and detail-oriented Buyer to manage the procurement and purchasing of both direct and indirect materials and services. This role involves tactical buying activities, including contractual negotiation and strategic sourcing.

  
Responsibilities: 
•    Manage purchase requisitions and review them for accuracy and completion.
•    Purchase required materials and services for multiple services and repair locations to assure on-time delivery at superior levels of quality, price, and supplier support.
•    Resolve discrepancies between purchase orders and invoices, shipping errors, and non-conformance material.
•    Manage suppliers and all open orders, expediting as required.
•    Collaborate with departments to close out purchase orders and/or resolve quality issues.
•    Improve the value provided to the company by driving supply chain initiatives and/or strategic projects.
•    Assess, manage, and mitigate risks; identify cost-saving opportunities.

 
  
List Qualification or Requirements: 
•    Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field. CPM Certification is desirable.
•    2+ years of supply chain or purchasing experience.
•    Procurement experience with direct and indirect materials.
•    Experience in developing, negotiating, and managing contracts with suppliers including services and capital projects.
•    Strong knowledge of procurement principles, theories, and processes.
•    Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
•    Proficient in Microsoft Office, advanced Excel skills a plus.
