Grow Your Career! DNA Eye Group is looking for a dedicated Optometric Technician who will assist the optometrist in pretesting patients and who is an essential part of our front office team providing exceptional patient care.
This position is part of our team who covers patient care at two (2) office locations: Power (85206) and Stapley (85204)
- Our Offices are Open 7 days (Sunday-Saturday) from 9:00AM-6:00PM
- Must be Available to Work Full Days on WEEKDAYS and WEEKENDS at either office
- Must be available to be scheduled to work 4 of 7 days per week; including weekends, based on business needs
- Will not schedule at both locations during the same day
Working Environment:
- On-site, inside of our practices (no remote work available)

- Sitting, standing, and moving around to different rooms
- Extended periods on the computer and examination equipment
- Multi-phone lines
- Ability to work at different locations
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
Minimum Qualifications:
A high school diploma or equivalent. Experience in the optometry or medical field preferred.
Essential Duties:
- Greet patients by providing professional and friendly customer service
- Answer phones, schedule appointments, insurance verifications
- Patient registration, check in/out processes, copays, intake duties, and referrals
- Enter and maintain patient demographics under HIPAA compliance
- Explain processes to prepare patients for pretesting, perform vision pre-screenings
- Essential to write accurate and legible examinations notes for the doctors
- Transition patients to the doctors and host store affiliates
- Provide exceptional patient care
- Promptly review and reply to voice messages
- Perform minor maintenance on examination equipment or contact the supervisor
- Daily office cleaning and sanitation of examination equipment
- Perform and document no show, NEE, and courtesy reminder calls
- Communicate effectively with patients, doctors, and fellow teammates
- Ability to be scheduled at different office locations during the week
- Excellent attendance and punctuality are essential for our patient care
- Other duties as assigned
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience using optical pretesting equipment
- Evidence of strong working relationship with doctors
- Experience in customer service
- Bilingual (Spanish preferred)
- Ability to self-motivate with the experience to work under pressure
- Optometric technician certification or Associate's degree, optometric technician
- Associates or higher degree in the medical, human relations, or related fields
