Diesselhorst Sports and Orthopedics is seeking a motivated and driven Orthopedic Medical Assistant to join our high energy and fast-paced clinic. As a part of our team, you will perform routine administrative and clinical assignments to keep our clinic running smoothly.
Job Description:
- Greet patients and escort them to their exam room.
- Document patient information correctly and accurately in the Electronic Medical Record
- Assist providers with injections and other in-clinic procedures
- Cast, splint, brace and remove sutures
- Work incoming referrals and schedule patients
- Effectively communicate with patients, family members and staff
- Return patient phone calls in a timely manner
- Comply with healthcare standards and regulations
- Adhere to HIPAA guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality
- Willing to travel to our remote clinic in Kingfisher 2+ times a month
Qualifications and Skills:
- Medical Assistant Certification preferred
- 1 year experience as an Orthopedic Medical Assistant preferred
- EPIC experience preferred
- The ability to work on your feet for 8 hours a day
- Strong communication and professional skills
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task efficiently in a high-paced working environment
- Reliable transportation
- Maintain a professional and polished appearance

Matt M. Diesselhorst, M.D., was raised in rural Northwest Oklahoma, graduated from Fairview High School, and received his Bachelor of Science in Zoology/Biomedical Sciences from the University of Oklahoma. Matt then earned his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma, College of Medicine and completed his internship and residency at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, Department of Orthopedic Surgery and Rehabilitation.
Dr. Diesselhorst thereafter continued his specialty training by completing the Lake Tahoe Orthopedic Sports Medicine Fellowship. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the Arthroscopy Association of North America, and the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine.
