Looking to work in rewarding and fast-paced environment while having fun? We are seeing 2 full-time ophthalmic assistants to help our patients with their eye care needs. Medical assistants in other subspecialties are welcome to apply. We train all our staff on the job.
1 year medical experience is preferred but not required.
Successful candidates must be TEAM PLAYERS, self-motivated, professional, confident, and have a positive attitude about taking care of patients and learning.
Technicians will rotate in all areas of the clinic (patient work-up, patient phone calls, minor procedures, pre-operative testing for surgeries, diagnostic testing, noting with the doctor). Training includes direct training from senior technicians and one-on-one training with the doctor, as well as paid for and provided in office educational printed and online material. Office pays for continuing education reimbursement.
Opportunity for short term certifications in ophthalmology such as COA (Certified Ophthalmic Assistant), COT (Certified Ophthalmic Technician), and longer term career goals are available through the clinic.
Technician Responsibilities and Duties
Experience with EHR, Excel and Word required
Excellent communication skills

*Pay rate based on experience and quality of work; guaranteed pay increase at 90 day based on successful work performance and substantial hourly raise with successful certifications.

7:00am - 5:00pm Monday/Tuesday
7:00am - 4:30pm Wednesday
7:00am - 1:00pm Thursday
7:00am - 2:00pm Friday
