FRONT OFFICE for Burbank-area mid-sized Pulmonary practice
JOB DETAILS
- One of three Front Office staff who work cohesively to handle the front office, overlapping duties and ensuring a fluid and efficient front desk and quality patient management
- Coordinate the details of 60-80 patient visits per day - this is a BUSY practice!
- Triage calls on a 6-line phone system, providing information, answering questions and making appointments
- Coordinate and confirm appointments for MRI-CTs, procedures and exams
- Coordinate charts ensuring all paperwork, test results and follow-ups are present for upcoming appointment date
- Collect copayments and balances, documenting details Handle authorizations, referrals and coordinate insurance information
- Coordinate medical records requests and test results with external offices and patients
- Strong training program to learn the systems
- Staff is integrated into the full scope of the Front Office Staff's duties as tasks are mastered and personal pace to handling work tasks picks up
REQUIREMENTS
- Experience with both VIP patients and HMO insurance patients
- Have a proactive mentality seeing what needs to be handled and do it with minimum direction
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a Front Office team setting
- Professional interpersonal communication skills in working with other Front Office staff, doctors and patients
- Computer proficient to learn scheduling and medical records programs, answer emails and coordinate medical records
- Efficient typing skills in terms of speed and accuracy
- Professional writing and speaking skills to ensure chart details are recorded accurately
SCHEDULE, COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
- M-F 8:30-5:30p
- $19 - $21
- Benefits including Medical, Dental and Vision, AFLAC, 2 weeks vacation per year, 401(k) (not matched) paid holidays, paid parking and sick days
