Network Technician Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Network Technician to join our team. This role involves hands-on work with networking gear and troubleshooting end-user issues in our large-scale MDU and residential networks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide ongoing technical support for network hardware, software, and peripheral equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, ensuring minimal downtime and maintaining high service quality.
• Assist in the installation, maintenance, and coordination of network systems.
• Monitor network performance, diagnose problems, and apply corrective actions to maintain optimal network operations.
• Support and troubleshoot LAN/WAN infrastructure, including routers, switches, TCP/IP, VPNs, and structured cabling.
• Respond to user issues, assist with account management, and provide necessary training.
• Implement and enforce network security procedures and policies.

Required Experience/Skills:

• Experience in a network technician or helpdesk environment.
• Strong understanding of LAN/WAN infrastructure, including planning, installation, and maintenance.
• Proficiency with enterprise routers, switches, TCP/IP, VLANs, VPN, and basic network security practices.
• Basic understanding of routing protocols (e.g., EIGRP, BGP) and firewall configurations.
• Ability to troubleshoot network performance issues and apply effective solutions.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
