Job Task
- Provide the highest level of customer service to patients, fellow employees, and referral sources
- Patient registration
- Answer phones
- Appointment confirmations
- Schedule patients
- Reschedule no show appointments and cancellations
- Knowledgeable of ICD-10 or HCPCS codes
- Check in patients/notify practitioner
- Process patient intake paperwork
- Obtain and enter accurate insurance information
- Obtain and enter accurate patient demographics
- Scanning multiple documents (IDs, insurance cards, physician ppw)
- Obtain Medical Documents such as Dispensing Order
- Run insurance eligibility
- Coordinate scheduling of practitioner schedules to ensure proper coverage of patient appointments
- Collecting co-insurance and deductibles
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience required
- Minimum one-year front office experience preferred, Medical Office Preferred
Preferred Skills
- Strong interpersonal, oral (including telephone) and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple task
- Proficient computer skills including Windows based office technologies (ex. Word, Excel)
