Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced On-Site Medical Biller to join our team at East Adams Rural Healthcare, a Critical Access Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately and efficiently processing medical billing, coding, and insurance claims.

Performs all aspects of billing, editing, submission, denial management, and reconciliation of claims. Manages all unpaid insurance accounts. Meets insurance collection and A/R benchmarks for clinic and hospital billing.

This position

• Performs medical billing functions to third-party payors,
• Review itemized bills to verify the accuracy and completeness of charges.
• Research denied or incomplete bills,
• Codes and/or verifies ICD-10 coding,
• Research and resolve minor patient complaints.
• Also responds to written correspondence from patients,
• Researches and reconciles credit balances.

Preferred experience: 1 or more years in patient account billing and extensive knowledge of medical insurance, CPT, and diagnosis codes.
