The Marketing Sales Manager is a self-motivated, community-oriented professional with a proven track record in acquiring new business. This base salary + commission role is dedicated to driving company revenue by identifying and securing new client accounts, showcasing a persuasive ability to position and sell our services while also cultivating opportunities that directly serve multicultural groups.
Primary Accountabilities
- Supervise and mentor direct sales support staff
- Conduct market research to identify new trends and opportunities.
- Create and execute effective sales strategies to achieve company revenue targets.
- Analyze market trends and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
- Serve as a main driver in acquiring new leads and new client accounts in assigned territories, leveraging effective sales strategies.
- Develop and execute innovative approaches to attract and convince potential clients to choose our services.
- Identify and engage with prospective clients, understanding their needs and aligning our offerings with their objectives.
- Draft and assemble proposals, presentations, and pitches assisting the Sales team including drafting project budgets
- Analyze competitors and adjust strategies to maintain a competitive edge
- Track and report on sales performance metrics
- Prepare regular sales reports for management
- Collaborate with the Sales team to develop compelling sales proposals and pitches tailored to the unique requirements of new prospects.
- Proactively seek out new business opportunities through targeted lead generation and prospecting efforts.
- Convert leads into successful client accounts by effectively communicating the value proposition of our services.
- Apply expertise in market research sales to position our offerings competitively in the marketplace.
- Stay informed about industry trends and client preferences to adapt sales strategies accordingly.
- Collaborate closely with the sales team to align strategies for maximum impact in acquiring new business.
- Provide valuable insights to enhance the overall effectiveness of the internal and external sales process.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities in Sales Force including adding leads with contacts and background information
- Regularly (weekly and potentially daily) updates with Sales team on prospects filling the pipeline
- Establish and nurture relationships with new clients, ensuring a positive onboarding experience.
- Gather feedback from new clients to continually improve our sales approach and offerings.
- Actively seek opportunities for professional development and training to stay ahead in the competitive sales landscape.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in marketing, communications, business administration or management, or related field (years of successful, direct, and relative experience in Marketing Agency as a substitute)
- 5+ years of successful sale closing; from prospecting to closing, increasing client base from quarter to quarter, year to year.
- 3+ years plus experience closing on sales ranging from $50k to $800k
- 1+ year of sales experience at a marketing agency
- 1+ year of training and managing of Sales staff
- 1+ year of Salesforce software experience
- Ability and willingness to travel in the Greater New England Area and onsite to meet clients and company events.
- Access to the internet is required
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, especially during project peaks is required
- Bilingual preferred but not required, fluent in English and Spanish/Portuguese

- Extensive experience drafting project plans

- Must be able to work independently without intensive supervision
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with diverse groups of people
