Job description

• Tool and die repair for progressive stamping operations
• Work from drawings, blueprints, sketches, or samples
• Review samples, drawings, or instructions to understand the specifications of the output
• Plan the sequence of necessary actions for the completion of a job
• Take measurements and mark material for cutting or shaping
• Select appropriate machines and position or load material for a job
• Perform routine repair minor damages
• Die tooling and sharpening
• Maintain good housekeeping in work area

Candidate Requirements

• Must be able to sharpen and reset forms
• Experience in using and programming manual, semi-automated or automated tools and machines (mainly presses)
• Ability to use precision tools to take accurate measurements
• Ability to read drawings and manuals
• Strength to lift heavy items if needed
• Ability to follow clear directions
• Self-disciplined and able to work with minimum supervision

Salary:

Certified Tool & Die Maker: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour.

Not certified: $21.00 - $26.00 per hour.
