PAYROLL ACCOUNTANT

• Process monthly payroll for several company divisions.
• Provides payroll reports to accounting for posting into the general ledger
• Maintain accurate and up to date payroll records and documentation
• Review and reconcile payroll invoices including health benefits, 401k invoices and various other fringe benefit invoices.
• Ensure accurate calculation of wages and deductions.
• Ensure the processing of new hires, promotions, and terminations is accurate and timely
• Manage employee payroll records to include onboarding, payroll, and administration business systems (ERP system and ADP) are updated and effectively automating business processes and adhere to company policies as applicable.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
• Processes regular files feeds with 401k and HSA vendors
• Utilize business systems to verify and maintain employee files, payroll records and benefit programs including, wages, withholdings, health, 401k and other fringe benefits.
• Ensure business is up to date on all employee state tax regulations, filings and other federal, state or local compliance related reports as needed.
• Address and resolve payroll-related inquiries and issues from employees
• Provide support for employees regarding their payroll-related questions, including tax withholdings and benefits.
• Identify and recommend improvements to payroll process and pocedures.
• Assist with implementing new payroll systems or upgrades.
• Work closely with HR to ensure seamless payroll processing.
• Coordinate with external vendors for payroll services as needed.
• Other Duties as assigned

Your Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Accounting or related field
• 5+ years' direct hands-on experience using ADP
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Highest level of confidentiality and discretion
• Strong communication skills and customer service mindset
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Prompt, regular, and predictable attendance in the Leesburg office is an essential function of this position.
• Must be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain a security clearance.
