About the Opportunity
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Accountant to join our team. The key responsibilities will be:

• Process payroll and provide financial and administrative support for the organization
• Calculate and process salaries (exempt and non-exempt) payable to direct hire employees for a bi-monthly distribution
• Ensure tax withholding, including federal and state income taxes, social security contributions, and other deductions are being applied
• Administer employee benefits related to compensation, such as health insurance, retirement plans and maintain records regarding paid time off
• Audit monthly benefit bills for accuracy

 
About You
The ideal candidate has:

• High school diploma or GED; priority given to candidates with an advanced degree (bachelors or associates) concentrated in accounting or finance
• 1+ years of experience with payroll practices and payroll systems; Proliant experience a plus
• Proficient in Excel
• Excellent math and organizational skills
• Working knowledge of relevant accounting software
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
