We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Project Accountant in Burlington, Massachusetts. The role primarily involves tasks related to accounting and finance in our organization. The successful candidate will become an integral part of our team, ensuring the smooth running of financial processes.
Responsibilities:
• Managing the issuance of purchase orders in an efficient manner
• Overseeing the collections process, ensuring timely and accurate completion
• Responsible for creating and sending invoices to customers
• Preparing and sending customer billings
• Receiving and processing proposals and submittals to contractors
• Setting up jobs in the NetSuite system
• Ensuring accurate processing and recording of company's accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Overseeing the process of invoice processing
• Ensure the maintenance and accurate records of purchase orders.• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Experience with Billing and Invoice Processing is necessary.
• Familiarity with Purchase Orders is required.
• Knowledge of NetSuite or similar accounting software is a must.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles.
• Professional certification (e.g. CPA) is a plus.
