LHH Recruitment Solutions is looking for an Accountant for a client of ours in Cleveland, OH. This role will handle complex accounting tasks with minimal supervision and provide guidance to less experienced team members.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain financial records in compliance with GAAP and company policies.
Manage General Ledger accounts and prepare reconciliations.
Balance intercompany accounts.
Prepare financial statements and fluctuation analysis.
Support monthly physical inventory and valuation processes.
Oversee the Fixed Asset Subsidiary Ledger.
Perform month-end closing tasks within deadlines.
Conduct various financial calculations.
Prepare and monitor expense and production variance reports, resolving discrepancies.
Provide continuous support for budget and forecast activities.
Complete and supervise special projects as needed.
Maintain detailed procedures for assigned tasks and train others.
Cross-train for backup duties within the Accounting Department.
Qualifications:
Minimum of three years of accounting experience.
Strong cost accounting skills.
Experience with SAP or similar applications.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field required.
CPA designation preferred.
Proficient in complex accounting analysis and mathematical calculations.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft products.
Experience with accounting and maintenance software.
Broad understanding of accounting practices and procedures.
Strong reading and writing skills.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Manage projects and assignments with accuracy and efficiency.
