Virtual Special Education Teacher

Location: Remote (Students reside in Alabama)
Job Type: Fulltime, Work From Home Contract

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Virtual Special Education Teacher to join our network in Alabama. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs in a virtual environment. This role involves collaborating with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that promote academic, social, and emotional growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of each student.
• Deliver engaging and effective virtual instruction in alignment with state standards and IEP goals.
• Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and technologies to support diverse learners.
• Monitor and assess student progress regularly, adjusting instruction as needed.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers to ensure comprehensive support for students.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to keep them informed of student progress and to involve them in the educational process.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and IEP compliance.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in special education and virtual instruction.
• Adhere to all state and federal regulations regarding special education.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Special Education or a related field (Masters degree preferred).
• Valid Alabama teaching certification in Special Education.
• Experience teaching special education students, preferably in a virtual setting.
• Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation.
• Proficiency with virtual learning platforms and educational technology.
• Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students.
