Position: Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) - PRN
Role Overview: ProCare Therapy isseeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team in San Juan Capistrano, CA. This PRN position involves providing specialized nursing care for students with complex medical needs, including seizure management, G-tube feedings, and other critical interventions.
Responsibilities:
- Seizure Management: Administer rescue medication and provide immediate care during and after seizures.
- Diapering: Perform diapering tasks as required.
- Assisted Positioning and Mobility: Assist students with positioning and mobility needs.
- Nebulizer Treatments: Administer PRN nebulizer treatments as needed.
- Medication Administration: Administer daily and PRN medications according to prescribed schedules.
- G-Tube Feedings: Perform G-tube feedings with precision and care.
- Monitoring and Suctioning: Closely monitor students for suctioning needs and respond promptly to high-risk situations.
- Choking Risk Management: Provide vigilant care to mitigate the risk of choking.
Qualifications:
- Current LVN license in California.
- Experience in seizure management and G-tube feedings preferred.
- Strong understanding of medication administration and emergency procedures.
- Excellent observational skills and ability to respond effectively to medical emergencies.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
