We are in search of a Controller to join our team in Grand Haven, Michigan. As a Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of multiple dealership locations. The role involves managing financial reporting, end-of-month closing, budgeting, forecasting, and the training and development of staff.
Responsibilities:
• Overseeing the financial operations of multiple dealership locations
• Managing financial reporting to ensure accuracy and timeliness
• Conducting month-end close activities for accurate financial records
• Formulating and implementing budget processes for financial control
• Providing forecasting to aid in strategic decision-making
• Utilizing accounting functions to maintain financial stability
• Managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) for smooth financial operations
• Overseeing the Full Cycle Payroll to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time
• Training and developing staff to enhance their skills and performance
• Leveraging ADP - Financial Services for efficient financial management• Must possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in a Controller position or similar role
• Proficient in using ADP - Financial Services
• Demonstrated expertise in managing accounting functions
• Solid understanding and experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Experience in overseeing budget processes is essential
• Must be capable of handling Month End Close, Month-end Close Activities, and Month-end Journal Entries
• Experience in Month-end Financial is necessary
• Proven ability to manage Full Cycle Payroll
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field is required
• Excellent communication, organizational and leadership skills
• Must be detail-oriented and able to multitask effectively
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work with large amounts of data
• Proficient in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel, and accounting software
