Exciting opportunity for a Sr. Fixed Assets Accountant to join a well-established O& G company in Houston, TX. Our client has amazing benefits including a 1/2 day Fridays!

Sr. Fixed Asset Accountant Responsibilities:

• Conduct quarterly FERC PP& E filings and prepare all supporting schedules

• Prepare journal entries and miscellaneous transactions

• Analyze month-end results and account reconciliations

• Review Capital projects during setup and when assets are placed into service to ensure compliance with the Capital Policy

• Assist with financial reporting and internal/external auditors

• Analyze and resolve project exception report issues

• Participate in process improvement initiatives and special projects as they occur.

Experience Requirements:

• High volume GL experience with experience with a larger ERP system (not just QuickBooks)
• Detail oriented and someone who is excited to learn and grow – they are big on internal promotions and making sure they have people who are driven.
• Will also consider someone coming straight out of public accounting with 3+ busy seasons
• Degree in Accounting

Preferences:

• Oracle a plus
• Any fixed assets experience
• Experience out of Energy/O& G/Midstream a huge plus as well
