Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join our dynamic educational team in Columbus, IN. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to provide speech and language services to students in PreK through 4th grade, contributing to their academic success and communication development. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with students, teachers, and other professionals to address speech and language needs effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Implement individualized speech and language interventions as directed by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
- Provide support to students in both individual and small group settings
- Collaborate with teachers and educational staff to ensure the integration of speech and language goals into the academic curriculum
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as needed
- Assist in conducting assessments and collecting data for speech and language evaluations
- Maintain accurate and organized records of therapy sessions and student progress
- Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers regarding student goals and progress
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
- Valid Indiana SLPA license or eligibility for licensure
- Previous experience working with children in an educational or clinical setting is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
