Senior Credit & Collections Representative
Overview:
- The Senior Credit and Collections Representative is responsible for collection activities related to major and complex accounts. This role involves performing analysis related to collection activities under the supervision of a manager. Responsibilities also include reviewing credit-held orders and making recommendations for credit extensions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform collection efforts on major and complex accounts.
- Collaborate with internal teams and customers to resolve issues such as short payments, disputes, and billing problems.
- Escalate any issues contributing to collection delays to the supervisor.
- Follow credit processes and procedures to make appropriate credit decisions, including releasing orders on hold.
- Conduct customer reviews for new and existing clients to recommend appropriate credit lines.
- Keep the supervisor informed of any deteriorating credit situations.
- Perform aging analyses and work with the supervisor to establish monthly/quarterly goals related to DSO, cash collections, and account reviews.
- Assist with projects as assigned, including data gathering, analysis, and collaborating with colleagues at all levels within the organization.
Basic Qualifications:
- Education and Experience: High School Diploma/GED and 3 years of experience in account resolution and credit extension.
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of ERP systems, and proficiency with Microsoft tools (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
- Financial Knowledge: Understanding of financial statements and credit reports, as well as business processes and their impacts.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Business Acumen: Demonstrated strong business sense and the ability to learn multiple systems and business process variations.
Compensation:
- $20.00/hr (W2/Non-Exempt)
