• Lead and Manage the Product Development Team: Oversee a team of 8-15 members, implementing company strategies, and guiding projects from conception to completion. Develop detailed project plans, outline tasks, and allocate resources to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
• Project Management Excellence: Manage project budgets, perform cost estimations and track financials. Collaborate with various departments, including the Executive and Product Management Teams, to effectively anticipate, assess, and mitigate risks.
• Assist in the Design and Improvement of Products: Partner with the Research Department in the proof-of-concept design process and work closely with the Product Management and Marketing Teams to prioritize and launch new products. Collaborate with the Operations Team to ensure products meet the highest quality standards.
• Galvanize Communication: Foster effective communication between the Development Team and other departments. Relay customer insights to the Product Development Team, ensuring that products meet market needs while balancing technical constraints.
• Ensure ISO Compliance: Uphold the highest standards of quality by ensuring compliance with ISO9001-2015 and ISO13485-2016 standards. Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes, mitigate risks, and enhance customer satisfaction.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Educational Background: MBA or graduate degree in Engineering or Science, or a Bachelor’s degree with equivalent work experience.
• Leadership: Lead by example, mentoring, and team-building skills with 5+ years of experience managing a Product Development and Project Management Team.
• Technical Expertise: Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Teams/SharePoint, design tools like SolidWorks, Eagle, KiCAD, and experience in the development of analytical instrumentation.
• ISO Experience: Familiarity with ISO9001-2015 manufacturing environments and ISO13485-2016 standards.

Also Valued:

• Experience in a biological or chemical laboratory environment.
• PMP Certification and/or Lean Manufacturing experience.
• Knowledge of metabolic measurement and phenotyping techniques.
• Familiarity with the ERP system NetSuite or similar.
• Internal auditor training/experience.
