Position Summary:
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist utilizes radiopharmaceuticals to perform diagnostic procedures. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist also assists the Nuclear Medicine Physician in performing therapeutic procedures. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs and documents quality control tests to ensure the quality of radiopharmaceuticals and the operation of all instrumentation. Must be able to work independently.
Qualifications:
Graduate of accredited Nuclear Medicine program preferred. Must be trained in venipuncture. Require previous experience in a Nuclear Medicine Hospital environment, with a background in Nuclear Medicine methodology, equipment, radiopharmaceuticals, basic radiation, physics/biology, computer skills, human anatomy and physiology. Requires basic knowledge of Nuclear Medicine dedicated computer systems and working knowledge of PC systems.
Requires current California Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist License (CTNM), Current NMTCB, ARRT, or ASCP(N) Certification, and Current American Heart Association BCLS certificate.
