Agape Treatment Center, voted top work places two years running in South Florida is currently seeking a Lead BHT for our Oakland Park, FL location!
The Lead Behavioral Health Technician s a member of the multidisciplinary team, who is directly involved in providing quality care for clients. The Lead BHT is responsible for overseeing general daily operations from safety and compliance prospective while reporting to the BHT Supervisor.
Specific Areas of Responsibility:
- Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of standards of practice.
- Demonstrates knowledge of Code of Ethics.
- Knowledge of all functions within the organization.
- Works closely with management from all fields.
- Provides for well-managed facilities.
- Provides for clear lines of responsibility and accountability within all departments.
- Communicates with all fields of management.
- Oversees general daily operations from a safety and compliance perspective.
- Knowledge and proficiency with EMR’s, preferably KIPU
- Knowledge and proficiency with Environment of Care and Joint Commission Standards
- Provides reports for Director of Operations and CEO.
- Plans, organizes and directs programs and services.
- Supervision of Behavioral Health Staff. Must comply with DCF and Joint Commission standards.
- Responsible for transportation logistics and communications
- Perform all duties delegated by Director of Operations.
- Being sensitive to Cultural Issues of a patient based on their job position
- Reporting Suicidality/Homicide of a patient based to their job position.
- Ability of competency and understanding to Addiction based on their job position.
- Reporting and responding to issues of Trauma of a patient based on their job position.
- Reporting and responding to issues of Dual – Diagnosis issues of a patient based on their job position.
- BHT Oversight, included but not limited to, scheduling, hiring, training, daily shift setup, disciplinary actions and performance reviews.
- Must be a current Certified Recovery Residence Administrator.
- Maintain agency’s Code of Conduct, Laws of Confidentiality, HIPAA rules and regulations, and maintains appropriate boundaries with clients.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of facility and housekeeping department policies and procedures.Ability to use universal precautions when cleaning specific areas.
- Ability to communicate with co-workers.
- Ability to work independently in assigned areas.
- Two (2) years of experience as Lead BHT in a health care facility.
