Summary:
Multiax Technologies is seeking a skilled and experienced and experienced production/commissioning engineer to join the team. The team member plays a critical role in the electrical hookup, initial setup, testing, commissioning, repair and adjustment of CNC equipment both in-house and on site, modification of programming software as well as post manipulation.
Responsibilities:
Installation and Maintenance: Install, set-up and configure multi-axis machining systems at client locations, perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure equipment reliability.
Review and understand blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals and specifications.
Complete and label final electrical assembly. Connect power cables, encoder cabler, low voltage, and I/O.
Tooling and aggregate setups.
Documentation: Maintain detailed records of preventative maintenance operations as needed.
Understand, calculate, and set controls to regulate machining factors, such as speed, feed, and enter commands.
Observation: Detect machine operation malfunctions or out of tolerance machine and adjust controls as required.
Verify conformance of finished work piece to specifications, using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, CMM, and drop gauges.
Ensure all policies and procedures are followed and safety precautions are taken.
Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on the latest advancements in CNC technology, software updates, and industry best practices.
Collaboration: Communicate extensively with internal teams to enhance production and commissioning of machineries.
Customer Relationship Management: Cultivate strong relationships with customers.
Must Haves:
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, ability to convey technical concepts effectively.
Willingness to travel occasionally for on-site support and customer visits.
Strong aptitude for troubleshooting and resolving common technical issues efficiently.
Proficiency in CNC programming, operation, and troubleshooting
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents.
Basic mathematical analytical and conceptual skillsets.
Strong knowledge of CAD/CAM software and CNS Machine controls (e.g., OSAI, Fanuc, Siemens, Hass).
General tooling knowledge of various materials including steel, wood, fiberglass, composites and aluminum.
Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
Education and Experience:
Minimum of 2 years in Engineering, Operations, or related field.
Associate degree or equivalent technical certification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience in CNC Programming/machining systems in a manufacturing or machining environment.
